The Château de Chenonceau , built in 1520, straddles the river Cher in beautiful countryside.
The ladies, wives, favourites and Queens were the happy or unfortunate heroines for 400 years. The symmetrically landscaped gardens were designed by Diane of Poitiers and Catherine of Medecis and offer picturesque views of the Chateau. |
