Castle of Cheverny

Castle of Cheverny
Built in 1634 by the Count of Cheverny, the Château de Cheverny is an example of remarkable unity of style.

It served as a model for Hergé to draw Moulinsart (reference to Tintin).
Rich furnishings and graceful decoration: masterpiece paintings, XVIIth century tapestries from the Ateliers de Paris and Flanders, a Louis XV clockwork mechanism, and the King’s lying in state bed.
In the Chateau’s vast park there is a trophy room (2000 antlers), a kitchen garden and Orangery.

Distance: 3 km (From the castle)
